play time

Jake in action! he's such a great soccer player. bless his heart it was so cold it snowed!

while jake played soccer, erin had a play date with friend alison. good times...

more catch up...

between christmas and new years i went to my first bowl game-VT v. Georgia-in atlanta. we went with our friends the smiths and had a ball. here we are waiting for the marta...

one night before the game we went to ESPN ZONE where thry were taping a "meet the falcons" segment. here are brett and christopher meeting the falcons....
look at how team spirited we are! the smiths brought lots of tech accessories so we were set. i even have a sparkly VT on my cheek!

we had awesome seats! right in front of #51 is frank beamer. after a great lead, tech unfortunately lost. kristen and i both think it was the kisses that got laid on us by some hunkey-and i mean fine!-20 something georgia fans while we were out in the smoking section that turned the game around.

we came home new years eve day ready to party that night at the smiths. here are our beauty queens (megan roberts, loghan campbell, bridgette smith, and erin). they were decorating new years hats and decided to bejewel themselves...

me and my girls...kristie, patty, and kristen.note the snazzy earings kristen got out for us to wear. we opted for the single jewel on the forehead. we actually supposed to be doing "2 legit to quit"...but kristen looks like she's the only one hip enough to get it right with her "L". patty's fot three fingers up...i have one. were so cool it's scary...

lastly, todd and chris show us how it's really done...now that's scary!

Testing....

it's been so long i've forgotten how to do this! catch up later...but for now, check out the results of lot's of hard work from my girlfriend kristen and i for walsingham's auction. this is the 4th grade (christopher's-or "chris" as he's known in school :( - class project. it's an outdoor bar. the students etched the tile. for some reason they turned brown in the kiln. we lovingingly and painstakingly assembled them onto the bar. additionally there's a close up shot and a photo of chris's ( :( ) tile.

next is the 3rd grade class project. it's a potting table with tile that each student painted. the galvonized tub to the right of the table is erin's class project...thumbprint art.
lastly, the outdoor beverage cart. 8th graders painted grids of van gogh's "starry night" and another painting i can't remember. a very cool modern piece.
