Happy Memorial Day!!

Hope everyone had a fabulous Memorial Day and took time to remember and honor our veterans. We had a terrific long weekend with Grandad and Melanie at their place on Table Rock Mountain in South Carolina. Chris, myself, christopher, erin, aunt jenny, uncle pete, and madeline all hopped in two cars and made the eight hour trip. It was an extra special weekend as it was Chris and I's 12th anniversary. Thanks Dad and Melanie for a fun filled family weekend !!!
The place was beautiful!!! No shortage of scenic views!!!

Not bad after a full year of no golf and a bum back!

Sunday turned out to be a really special for us. We had planned on going to the 8:40 service at our old church in Yorktown, and changed our mind at the last minute and decided to go at 11. Well turns out old friends of ours were having their daughter baptized at the 11:00 service and their parents, who had moved a couple years ago, were back in town as well as several other members of our church family. We also sang two of Chris's mom's favorite hymns, which is always very moving for both of us. It truly feels like she's there with us. Mom joined us and then took Erin home with her for some one on one meema & erin time while Da was at the hospital working. Then it was off to golf!! It was a top 10 day and everyone played really well. Here's Jake teeing off...

How did i get so behind on this!!!!! Anyway...here comes an onslaught of updates.


First and foremost, Happy Mother's day to all of the special Mothers in my life, particularly my own. I love you and thank you for all that you are to me and my family!
To Christopher and Erin, I love you more than you'll ever know and thank God every day for the blessings he has bestowed upon me!

Chris~thank you for helping me be the mother that i am and for all that you do- which is basically everything-i love you!

This isn't the greatest picture (have to figure out how to use my scanner) but it's one of the last one's we have of Christopher and Erin with meema "with the toys out back". The picture was taken christmas and she passed in january. We celebrate your life today and cherish every memory we carry with us in our hearts.We love and miss you very much, but know you're with us always!!

Where to start...Anyone that knows me and has been following this, should know by now that i'm due for a whiny post. I've been suffering from some pretty significant back pain that's been escalating for a few weeks now. I stopped seeing my chiropractor in february when i quit my job and my insurance changed. Long story short...i found myself in dr.brad's in tears and have virtually lived there ever since. I started this post on the 12th-i believe-it's now the 16th, so i'm jumping ahead of some future postings with this.

I'm so far behind on my post's that i've forgotten what my point was. I still hurt like hell and Erin made me this beautiful "feel better" card...

As part of my birthday present, Hugh and Mom arranged for the four of us to go see Bill Cosby at the Ferguson Center of the Arts.



They surprised us with front row seats, we could have touched him! Here's a view of the inside of the theatre. Like I said, we were right in front of the stage.






Here is a picture of the stage before he came out. It consisted of this chair and sweatshirt, which you can see he autographed, and Evian and a box of tissues. At one point he actually sat on the edge of the stage about a foot away from us.


Cosby was awesome. Did some new stuff and some of his old. Hugh and Mom were one of five couples who got to meet him between performances. After, we went out for Italian and fine wine. Thanks for the great night Mom and Hugh!! Love Ya!!

And oh what a party it was...

Kristie and John put on a great Cinco de Mayo bash-quite the success!!! One major casualty (uncle pete-looks like it'll be another six years before he meets another bottle of Tequila), one minor (kristie-she just went to bed a little early). I on the other hand partied like a rockstar. Eight or nine straight shots of tequilla I believe.
